Let's not forget Kenya, which I thought was well and truly off the radar... until now.



It turns out that Peter Nicholls - FAR's Exploration Manager - accompanied Ben Clube as a speaker at the recent AAPG Appex Global conference in London, this time throwing the Lamu Basin back into the spotlight in an 11 minute pitch*.

With all that's going on in Senegal, The Gambia and Guinea Bissau, why Kenya? Why now? It's the first time I've seen FAR promoting Kenya since my initial investment 4 years ago.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't slightly intrigued - might we see some activity in L6 shortly, or are FAR possibly gearing up for an asset sale to focus solely on the MSGB Basin? Surely it was more than a 'presentation skills' development opportunity for Peter?

Regardless, who doesn't like "a proven petroleum system with huge upside"?!

Answer: nobody. Happy to keep it in the portfolio if FAR can make it work.
