I don't know what you don't get about the spent convictions scheme. Its simple and logical. After the 10 years is up, there is no conviction so there is no need to report anything cause it doesn't exist any longer from a legal point of view. Everyone is acting like hes Chopper Reed. Give it up its nothing and Shitiro MAY have broken the privacy laws by bringing it up.

It is unlawful for a person or authority to disclose an individual’s spent conviction or take it into account where the individual has a right of non-disclosure (that is, a right to not disclose the fact that they were charged with or convicted of the offence, as set out in Table 1 above).
