That is not what they would sell it for
Standard and Poors track Price to Book ratio for all S&P 500 companies. Current average price is 3.4 x book value
Therefore average (fair) price for 40% WI at SNE today would be roughly $1.5B
Based on CNE book value and S&P average P/B ratio FAR 15%WI of SNE alone would be worth $553M USD = $700M AUD
Current market cap AUD $458M.
I wonder which way FAR SP will go ......
