just read news release. please remember i'm not 100% across what area ASN are sampling and what the expected results are meant to be.
also remember i worked for a world leader in chemical manufacturing for twenty years and have seen plenty of dodgy test work.
in saying that the report DOES not even talk about lithium concentrations. all the report mentions is that the samples were high in oil and they were tested incorrectly.
when you are testing down to the 1000 ppm level samples must be exactly the same as what the test method dictates.
the test method here was for NO oil in sample.
the samples had OIL therefore test method would not work. in chemical testing you CANNOT have impurities in samples the test method will NOT work.
because the test method was completely wrong , then i would dismiss this result completely and wait for a resample and use a lab that KNOWS what its testing.
if i was the company i would personally supervise the retest and get the best available LAB TECH person to do testing.
