One of my work colleagues talks about how in his early investing days he had a margin call. However he kept to his investment strategy of investing in high quality shares and now has a portfolio worth a lot.
Shares go down and up. A good share will spend much more time going up than down. If AFG ends up being as good as many suspect then in 2 or 3 years time this should be back somewhere in double digits.
It's hard to think of any bluechip on the ASX that hasn't been badly down at some time in its history.
