It's a good point. If EXM falls below 3c then there is no real incentive to take up the offer as you may as well buy the fpo and keep your current option with only a 3c exercise instead of 6c. If the 3c expiry was a little closer it might have made more difference but if it was closer then the company wouldn't need to make this offer.
