Yes! Wesfarmers have 13 1/2 % of Quadrant at the present time. But it's the history that got me pondering.
Wesfarmers acquired Kleenheat several years ago, and at the time it was a bottle gas supplier to industry with retail outlets for sale of gas appliances, eg: bbq's, gas heaters, etc. A few years ago, they took Kleenheat into the gas supply market in direct competition to Alinta Gas.
Then Apache sold its WA assets to the JV that now owns Quadrant, and Wesfarmers took the opportunity to farm in. Kleenheat of course, as a domestic and commercial supplier, needs the security of contracted gas from a producer and you don't have to be a Rhodes Scholar to work out that if you want to expand Kleenheat into a dominant suppler in WA it would be a good idea to have the security of gas production in your back pocket. Now, with the entry of further competition into the gas supply market by the likes of AGL and Origin, it makes even more sense. To me anyway.

Now, with Andrew Forrest et al wanting to supply the eastern states with LPG, and the feasibility of a trans national pipeline being assessed, should the Phoenix blocks prove up exportable quantities of gas, in excess of WA requirements, the glove of Quadrant would, in my view, seem to be a good fit for Wesfarmers industrials expansion plans. All just weekend reflecting on my part of course, so IMHO and DYOR.
