I think these were the posts that advised us of the Jewish meaning of satan

The Hebrew word satan means "an adversary, one who resists."
"The word satan is actually used many times in the Tanakh, and it means an adversary, obstacle or stumbling block."
The definition of Satan (Judeo-Christian and Islamic religions) is, "chief spirit of evil and adversary of God; tempter of mankind; master of Hell"
"In Christianity, Satan is an enemy of G-d, an opposing force, and something very bad."
Atheist posters have used some very demeaning language against theists on this forum, eg. "religious nutters", "religious whackos", "egoism and self righteousness", "wotsupian prison", and much more, which theists have been expected to "turn the other cheek" to, so I was a little surprised to read Post #: 31818481 and be told, "I'm saying you, et al, should think carefully before accusing others on HC of being the seed of Satan or satans just because you don't like what they say or they have a different view from you."
I would have thought that, in the religious context of this forum, calling an adversary a "satan" (NOT Satan) should be acceptable.
(If I believed that Satan himself was posting here I would be very concerned!

)
Perhaps theists would have less incentive to call their adversaries "satans" if demeaning and provocative language were not constantly used against them.
Before anyone accuses me of being "holier than thou", I've probably been guilty of using such language in the past and am endeavoring to resist the temptation.
The simple and inescapable fact is that no one really knows the absolute truth about how life on Earth arose.
Atheist evolutionists are convinced they know the truth and theists are wrong, and theists are convinced they know the truth and atheists are wrong. I believe we are all entitled to our beliefs.
More mutual respect for each other's beliefs would be nice, but human nature being what it is, that's probably not going to happen.
