Nimbus- im a white African (born in Kenya grew up in Tanzania till we were kicked out in 1974.) Land reform is not such a bad thing if done correctly. For example -Is it appropriate that huge tracts of land lie idle in the hands of a few rich germans or overseas whites who dont even use it while many local farmers have no land or scratch a living off weak marginal land??. -(I'm not a commie- im a liberal usually pro-white african). So If its done reasonably with fair compensation its not always a wicked thing.

Its just in the hands of greedy ignorant corrupt thieves like Zim's Mugabe -Mate hes run the whole economy into the ground farming/mining/banking/industry and every other sector -but that doesnt mean all other govts are similar basket cases. (Jacob Zuma was in a similar vein but they have at least now got rid of him and hopefully will now at last prosecute him and his henchmen for the 750 billion they are reputed to have stolen.)

look I dont know enough about the exact laws in OZ but isnt Abo land is being retuned to them too?, is that not land reform?? I do know other mines Ive had in W.A taking ages to negotiate with them on seemingly ridiculous points. Will you not buy there too?

The main point is to my (admitedly limnited) knowledge that has been no cases of mines being exproprated without fair compensation in Nambia. On the other hand mining taxes are low and prices are cheap plenty of govt incentive etc -so theres swings and roundabouts in every deal

But anyway Nimbus Mate this converstion is going no where - its very simple if your not comfy dont buy the shares!! -No worries - its a free world (except maybe in Oz where I can never shake the feeing im living in a police state when I visit)!!!!
