My wife and I in our seventies have $750K between us in bank shares (75%) and Telstra (20%) with the other 5% in three small companies.
Our gross income for this financial year will be just on $70,000 including franking credits of $20,000.
I should have thought that our income would be typical of most self-funded retirees who bought high income shares for regular dividends.
