What you suggest about "not reading it all" is typical of one who has not yet joined the quest for knowledge.
Typically an age thing, although some carry this on indefinately.
The irnoy is, you will typicially read 10 times what I posted in any given hour, but as low content, one-line "filler"...from which the only value you will get is stress and agression from innane comment.
I guess it is the difference between "what can I get now" from someones contribution, compared to "what can I get long term" from same.
The calssic technical, instant gratification trader response, versus a more future looking investor timeframe approach.
Nothing wrong with either by the way...it is just that one requires more wisdom and a more forward outlook.
As for the house...lol...I quickly scan here between breaks, usually when I need a rest (bad back), and if I see something that stimulated me, I quickly type out a response. A can type quickly these days, although the typo's and spelling suffers the faster I go...and I never re-read my quick contributions.
You get them as raw as they leave my fingers!
Not a big house...and costs are not too oppressive given I have done most of the initial stuff myself...although I was lucky to get the builders in for framing for a couple of weeks. To date, I have done the footings (including strip footings), stumps, sub-floor framing, solid rock walls, car-port, driveway...and now tiling, strip flooring, external finishes (timber panneling and stone/ceramic cladding), archs, skirts, instal spa, etc.
Mind you, this is just the front section of the place...the real work starts in Jan, the majority of which I will happily leave to the experts.
Anyway, tiling today...and tomorrow...then plumber can finally hook up the essentials (probably 27th?).
The spa is a problem for now...how to set the hob top in prep for tiles, (sides cannot be romoved), yet still allow underside of spa access for the pump to be plumbed in and heater/blower installed and connected...oh damn, just realised the sparky did not provide power for the bloody pump!
Oh crap...crap...crap!
Another bloody delay...I fear I will have to hold my but cheecks shut for weeks!
As for you comments on CVI...I too have been wondering about the vacant chairmans position...it stands out like the proverbials every time I read it.
I have a suspicion the position is being held over until they land the first big one (oil based of course), in which case I suspect the person who has probably already been chosen will take the role.
The wait for a definative project position suggest to me it may well be a very high profile individual, who perhaps does not want to risk an appointment until the stage is set?
Anyway, the house beckons...I will try to look in later.
