re: shorting banks can be costly I have to agree with you on that one. The forum is turning into "im right and your wrong" type bagfest, instead of trying to help each other in picking winners!
Read an interesting report in the correlation of interest rate moves to Banking stock prices, and there basically is none!
Banks only partially fund there portfolios with retail funds.
Margains will increase in the cycle up, hence less volume but higher margins should sustain these money making machines in continuing to increase EPS.
I think about shorten the Banks many times, and then back away.
