Sensational news, although not completely surprising given the potential upside.
In terms of what an offer might look like, $10 would represent about a 30% premium to today's close, so it would likely need to be around that level to get the Board interested. Having said that (and this is going to sound like a first world problem), I think they would getting it on the cheap at that price, so would be quite happy for the Board to play hard ball. I also haven't even been in this stock for 12 months, so in the interests of minimising my tax bill, the Board should feel free to hold off on any agreement for a few months ;-)
Either way, we are in for a big day tomorrow as the AFR is usually pretty reliable on these sorts of rumours.
