Yes I hear what you are saying, though doing so would need to change the spreadsheet. Being totally automated bar the manual entry of tips and new comers names, would need to change that design which would then create more problems (overcomable obviously but all takes time). Currently, there is a column that with each new day, all the tippers in the current month get placed into an alphabetical order in the tipping sheet for easier tipping data entry.
Changing ones tip by 1 10th of 3 decimals place will not put out the average or standard dev much... if at all. Just got to remember to change the 2nd tippers tip so they fall behind 1 rank from the first tipper. It is easier to put a formula to state a double has been made and change the 2nd tip, than to change the design as well as to also include entry times etc...
So far I've tested all Dec '17, Jan '18 & Feb '18 data as a mock up test run and no double ups. Seems like if there are, edits have been made.
