Agree that competitions etc are a much better way to leverage traction online. Pushing Yowie World is a much better idea IMO.
And I meant paying for views not likes, sorry. Only a small percentage of the views would have been organic. It's great to get exposure but as with anything online I could put any crappy video and then pay for it have a million views. It's good for brand exposure but not worth squat if those views don't translate into sales. That's what I find embarrassing, not the fact they are advertising on Facebook, but the fact they have on multiple occasions bragged about how many views this and that have got when in fact they have paid for them. If social media views were translating directly into more sales then sure thing, yell it from the rooftops.
The claim 'They never paid for views' is flat out wrong. Paying for views is basic advertising 101.
