Whether he should stay or go depends on how important the Board believes he will be to drive the business forward. He has lived and breathed this company, it is in a start-up phase, finding someone to step in and hit the ground running may be a challenge.
I don't want BIG to remove their CEO to appease a newspaper if it means there is a greater risk of them not being able to execute their business plan.
With a properly governed Board I think the market should be able to regain its confidence in the business. BIGs previous Chairman Massie let us down big time. He wasn't in control of his patch at all. Signing off on the accounts and not obtaining the correct advice on governance issues was his responsibility.
Unless the CEO is found to have acted improperly, I would like him to stay, for now.
