Could the following Beatrice Daily Sun news item (18/12/2007) be associated with the forthcoming AAE announcement -

"The Beatrice City Council Monday night approved 6-0, with Councilmen Rich Kerr and Ted Fairbanks absent, to use a $525,000 Community Development Block Grant loan to be applied to street improvements on Southwest 32nd Street and Blue Ridge Road in preparation for Beatrice Biodiesel to construct a $50 million soybean-crushing operation.

The soybean-crushing facility is scheduled to be officially announced in January 2008 with construction beginning by the end of 2008, David Blythe, Beatrice Biodiesel managing director, said. The plant is expected to be up and running in 2009.

The plant will serve as a feedstock for the Beatrice Biodiesel, which is scheduled to go into operation soon, Blythe said. The biodiesel plant currently has contracts to bring in the needed soybean oil.

However, once in operation, the 3,500-ton-per-day-capacity soybean-crushing facility will provide the needed oil as it will utilize soybeans from local growers and reduce the amount of truck traffic in the area."
