Wow, Miss Trangrams... you did that??
I can handle the Best Stock of 2007 cause we had to be close, but the director one was a little over the top. I'm flattered by a long way, and I believe completely undeserved.
I reckon that I was just lucky to get hold of a great project (Irvine Island) where I knew I could do the impossible (according to many in the industry), and lucky to meet one of the nicest and switched on geologists around (Dr. Alistair Reed) who brought in Dove River. We have built this company together.... I'm lucky because as the CEO I am the face...and while we are doing well I get all the pats on the back.... while Alistair is working his guts out to make this company succeed. If our shareprice falls..... remember Alistair is the one to blame... LOL.
Miss Tangrams, I really appreciate your post. I would hope that the "new breed" companies run by young professionals (relatively young!) like PLV will be more and more innovative in the way they communicate with stakeholders and with they way they do business.
As you know I have been watching with interest the TNC thread. I genuinely believe that you have strong morals and a sense of fairplay, and that the authors of corporate governance rules were thinking of people like you when they wrote. As I have said many times... in life you have integrity... nothing else matters. I see that in you and your posts.
It would be very interesting if you and I got together to run this directorship school! Ray Schoer could help as he (and his team) wrote the Corporations Act. You will never find a greater crusaider for corporate governance and fairness to the small shareholder. He owes me a favour or two by the way... although he will say the opposite.
Anyway, I'm a little lost for words, I truely appreciate what you did.
Kind reagrds, Tony.
