Could be as per balance sheet approach which would show $100M asset at valuation and liabilities of say $60M debt plus equity $40M.
Sale removes $60M debt and the proceeds (now an asset)of approx $40M represents the balance of the deal in simple terms. The $100M asset disappears from the balance sheet.
In reality there is a more complex analysis which would probably show reimbursement of loan repayments to date of sale which represent portion of equity plus some estimate of revaluation of the beatrice asset. I don't have any of this information so i am only theorising about these details.
