but I think the stinkingly bad thing in that catch DEBONO is that it was sooooo clearly off the middle of the batsman's pad and nowhere near the bat that Ponting should never have appealed... forget whether he controlled the ball or not (he clearly did)...... Ponting clearly apealed for a ball straight off the pad and he knew it - all the talk about whether he grassed the ball is him deflecting the fact he cheated or at very least was a very poor sport (Aussie Captain)....... pressure gets to everyone and I think Australia's sportsmanship was out the window on day 5....... it was win at all costs............ and it happens because several of them are that type of guy...... Ponting has surrounded himself with men of this stature.... Bet J. Langer or K. O'Keefe or R Benaud would not have given evidence like the apparently 5 or 6 other Aussies who did against Harbajan..... funny they all heard something huh???? But the umpires heard nought...... funny that.....And has it actually been confirmed in evidence what either player (Royboy/Singh) said????????? I thought it was dirty pool of the gang of other Aussies to give evidence to try to mash poor old Mike Proctor into the corner....... should have been left on the field.... and a classic how the Little Aussie Bogan Skipper (LABS Ponting) brought up a match 3 months ago at the hearing...... in a normal court it would be thrown out as inadmissable and hearsay...... Poor old Breety Lee must be hoping it all goes away very quickly so he can appear for millions of $$$$ in the Indian Super series........
