Tonio, the Greek language has a definite article THE but no indefinite article A. If John wanted to teach the Word was THE God he would have said so . He could have written 'without a beginning was the Word because the Word was God'. But of cause that is not what he wanted to teach .
(John 20:31) But these have been written down so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and because of believing, you may have life by means of his name.
