I don't invest on a hope and a prayer either, I've already learnt that lesson the hard way previously.
Do you think you or the CEO is better placed to give guidance on the company's near term prospects? What unique insights do you have that he doesn't? I'm just trying to gauge how you would invest in this situation if you apparently don't know anymore than the rest of us.
If you think about it, from the company's perspective they lose nothing if the option price tanks. Option holders will only exercise where there is an incentive to. What can be gleaned from his email is he still thinks there is a chance they might be exercised, which tells me all I need to know. Roll the dice and see what happens. I haven't overextended myself so what will be will be. Also have a decent chunk in the heads so happy to hold it out otherwise.
Just out of interest, do you hold any options and if so, do you plan to hold or sell them based on what I have shared tonight?
