Ann: Response to ASX Query, page-16

I feel like the focus of this thread has drifted somewhat, and would like to bring the discussion back to the short-term outcomes we might be facing as shareholders.

Is there not a chance that the ASX will not be satisfied with GSL's response to its query, or worse, that it will reach the conclusion that it has breached listing rules relating to its financial position and its compliance with Australian accounting standards in company reports? If so, one of the options available to ASX is to consider whether or not GSL should continue to be listed on the bourse. This would obviously be of major consequence to all of us who hold company stock, and would introduce the spectre of administration if the company is not in fact able to continue as a going concern in the coming weeks/months.

I really, really hope that RC's response is sufficient to address the ASX's query, but reading it, I'm not totally sure if it will. I guess we will see on Monday.

In the meantime, I'm happy to be put in my place as a worry wart who is assuming the worst for no good reason. But I do think we should be talking about the short term financial position of the company rather than other things right now.
