"your average teacher?" You don't have much faith in the ozie teachers, dummy, do you? All right, let's say that for "the average teacher" it's too hard. What makes you think this teacher is an average one? It seems to me, s/he is ENGAGING his/her kids with some serious issues. Giving them the opportunity to DISCUSS their views with an adult. An "average teacher," stoopid, has a strong control over the discussion. A lot of briefing and debriefing goes on exactly so that the children don't leave the classroom depressed. You're afraid they might do themselves in. Do you know that the Oz youth -until only a few years ago was second only to Japan in suicides? Can you guess why?
What's the connection you're trying to make with the stolen generation? You're telling me it didn't happen?
You're also suggesting that by keeping the children behind razor wire we're preventing "other children" from -I didn't quite get you there- having a hard life? How terrible! White Christians should have the privilige of sitting before a TV, getting fat ar sed by eating Mackas and fat brained by watching American cr@p!
