when we stop booming we stop spending, china stops making, china starts not making as much money exporting to us, china stops buying as much resources, demand for resources in Australia goes down prices fall, mines make less money, stocks fall
everything is linked and knocks on to each other
and then in time it turns around and starts up again
nothing lasts for ever! every boom ends and the slow down always follows and worse case a resession
