There's also some deliberate bot activity that tests a line for a while, waits for an hour or so and then wipes out that line if there has been no activity since.

Between that and a bit of window dressing in the opening and closing auctions, that's most of the daily volume.

I don't know if there is much of an ulterior motive, as opposed to just an alogrithm taking advantage of a complete lack of buying.

I definitely don't see the accumulation argument yet, as there's no buying going on. I suppose you could argue it is being pushed down to allow for future buying on the cheap, but I really think it is just one bot and a couple of day traders moving the whole thing.

As I said yesterday, 0.01% of shares outstanding were traded. It's a nothing.
