Doodlebugger - I agree. Heron North is a bonus and well worth the work that is being done at the moment. If the Plover sand of wet gas and low CO2 are similar in Heron South, then MEO is sitting on a bucket load of LNG feedstock gas.
Players in the area would certainly be looking on with interest.
The SP should move on the following:
- Reaching GWC at '4260' - possibly early next week - Setting 4.5inch liner - one week - Production testing - 10 days.
Methanol plant is effectively a bucket for any trace of CO2 in the gas streams and all that will be produced via the mid-stream processes. Environmentally, it is the underpin of the project as presented to government. Methanol is in high demand in Asia and while not as expensive as LNG, its price is rising fast.
