YC, there actually were articles in the papers today relating to ag market and fertilisers (not necessarily flattering).
Whilst I agree with much of your philosophy, I think we can miss the fact that drought will still impact on the localised ag sectors. I also believe that gold should play a part in portfolios should the markets get quite tough (this is not tough yet).
It will be interesting to see what comes out of the US at the end of the month and to see what George Bush is prepared to throw at the markets, the potential for a US come back does exist.
Hence my conviction that ARU plays the safest bet as it is leveraged to Food, Gold and Energy (oil and uranium) making it quite a unique animal.
