This is terrible gardening advice. Any gardener worth their salt know you don't germinate carrots then transplant. You direct seed them into a well tilled fine soil. The root is the 'crop' and they don't take well to being disturbed. It's why you should never buy carrot seedlings.
Also,I think your literal treatment of the anaology causes it to break down because the answer isn't to diversify seed types but to sow a lot of carrot seeds then thin them out later (and eat baby carrots). So buy lots of AHZ, eat some early then wait for a successful harvest?
