Hi Chris, ...yes I do vaguely remember some of those names you mention ...but often with mines ...working 12-13 hours a day ...not much time to strike up friendships. There are a couple of guys I got to know on the processing side, but prolly best to take this part of the chat off OGX before we mention humans by name too much. Interesting to hear your comments about the commissioning, I few from Bris, and I has two days to get to Perth ready for site. Was a bit of a picnic until the mill got cracking and then it build up to a crescendo.
I've posted this on OGX before: to ensure we had a uniform grade entering the ROM bin (run of mill), we had three layers of ore on the ROM, and we had to continuously move from one end to the other taking a single bucket load from up the face with all three layers mixed in. Worked pretty well from all reports. I know the tonnages are on a much smaller scale, but I wonder if we are employing a similar approach at Cascavel?

Sorry if I seemed impolite regarding the gold dore purity question ...sometimes I feel a bit like an unpaid OGX research assistant trying to find salient info. Add to that the frustration of being misconstrued and misrepresented by certain humans bent on revenge, it can seem a little unrewarding and pointless at times. On these forums there are thousands of lookers, but minimal posters who really make an effort and they have to contend with the flappers and flippers and floppers who are determined to obfuscate and misconstrue for their own benefit ...as well as the downright negative and the stubborn detractors who will always find fault ...and in the most verbose fashion. Anyway, I was pretty close to the mark (although my detractors will be impressed that I have erred on the side of caution as usual
the purity reported was 89% and not the 88% from memory. Please to report that it was in early 2017 and during our suspension period also as remembered:

The academic paper that mentioned gold purity usually being relatively stable over a given mining district will have to wait ...probably not hard to find though.
What will today bring?
