good post djzab... the most plausible explanation in my opinion. irrational fear caused by a lack of comprehension in some by the friday announcement, and well capitalised on by the short sellers. i see no reason to suspect skeletons in the closet, and cant blame the management for this lack of comprehension.

and great to have the fear turned back the onto the shorters with the very positive announcement this morning that should have eradicated any of the original concerns. was suprised to see it come back so hard after the initial run but i guess short termers that bought in on the weakness friday already had a reasonable profit to take, of course with help from those caught short. no doubt traders are all over this and profiting from the fear surrounding the financials/property sector (even as MFS is moving away from this sector)
