..In a nutshell, because price never looked like closing lower after the gap up poorly closing bar, an entry could be considered.
A 'rising buy' being the most likely type of entry, there are a couple of examples shown on the chart.
If there had been a marginal downbar on light volume in response, it would have been questionable.....and a clear downbar on strong volume would have suggested it was a probably a liquidity pump.

The right hand edge was showing a pretty clear case of potential Bullish Absorption.
In response price breaks out and accelerates away, then comes back and tests the breakout, before accelerating away again.
