Mad Max, in response to your comment in the older thread, I too hope this is the beginning of a big turn around. As you know I would love to be as bullish as Brett34 about this, but even now I am finding it difficult to get excited. I really want to be excited.

Announcements just seem to be 'under-whelming' every time. At January 18 2018 there was some excitement because they had 383 clients and 400 sales staff ready to go from February 1.

Come April 12 and those 400 sales staff (plus many more apparently) have managed to sell 5000 VINs.
Now I'm no Rhodes Scholar, but let's say 400 staff working 5 days a week in February and March 2018 - about 8 weeks or 16,000 working days. Round it down to 15,000. That's 15,000 working days for 5,000 VINs. That works out at 3 working days to one VIN. They tell us that 5000 VINs equates to AU$30,000 a year or $6 a VIN. So, the whole sales team at China Telecom are earning us NET shareholders $2 per work day. Obviously China Telecom have other sales priorities despite all the Rah Rah about the 'partnership'.

I'm sure I'm missing something (Brett please correct me), but the announcements are always so 'fluffy' it is hard to identify what is actually happening. As always I wait patiently for an announcement which proves beyond all doubt that this will be a success.

Brett will not like this but here is part of an announcement from 2 and a half years ago - 18 December 2015 - and I quote:
-Rapid growth momentum in partner network and customer acquisitions to continue into 2016, with revenue and user uplift expected in Q3
-Subscription revenues generated from a growing customer base as end-user numbers exceed 800,000


Sound familiar???????? Can you believe 800,000 end users in December 2015???? (800,000 end users who like everyone else who has ever purchased the product seems to have got if for free)...... and now we're back to 5,000 VINs???

SHOW US THE MONEY I reckon.
