Clash over SA farmersin WA, page-79

My in-laws are farmers. Farmer's have more skills than what you are implying here - let me start.
1. They can drive and repair heavy equipment
2. They are resourceful in not only repairing things but in using second hand material and things you wouldn't think of doing to build things.
3. Out on the farm most farmers would know basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical skills because you don't find tradies out there. Most build their own furniture and repair/build their own homes. That is they use few tradies.
4. In fact famers have a range of non-accredited trades but they would know far more and probably more qualified than some tradies in certain areas.
5. Farming is hard work, and most farmers work in excess of 10 hours a day so have work ethic.

I support skilled migration and I would say farmers have a lot of skills and btw they can grow good crops. As they say if you don't crap you die, so to the city slickers where do you think food comes from lol. As is said I support skilled migration and don't care where people come from and what is their colour of their skin as long as they are skilled because Australia can no longer afford to take unskilled labour given the job market and the cost of living here and the state of the budget position. All IMO
