My thoughts are that he will seek a combo of short and long term benefits from this deal. But lets state some facts, TV2 is an unproven and small player which means it is prudent for him to maximise his short term benefits over long term. And of course he will want long term success for TV2, blowing up would be great for both parties. Can I just add though, is that last paragraph from a TV2U flyer?
