It is all about Comey's press conference for the early release of his tell-all, expose` book on Trump.
He is trying to promote a tell-all book on the POTUS!

I watched Comey explain to the TV interviewer how he decided he'd best come out, weeks before the election, with the true statement that Hillary was still being investigated over her emails, because he was worried that when Hillary won, as he claimed she would've and should've, then later he would've looked dishonest and a liar for not saying the truth that she was still being investigated!
Oh derh; he would have been dishonest!
He then claimed his honesty cost Hillary the election [which he now sees as a terrible thing].
He regrets being honest?!
Doesn't that tell you a lot about the man Comey and the whole damn swamp.
