    re: kcg - gold and silver :-) US or AUD?

    What about the location? Just how remote is it, or is there a workforce readily to hand?

    Presumably, MIM's exit had more to do with the need for managing the following conflicting needs:
    1)
    higher IRRs relative to value and over a shorter period of time (ie: 20-30% IRR within 2-3Y, max);
    2)
    global concentration (ie: world class and long term sites, as opposed to shorter term duration sites);
    3)
    sovereign /economic risk;
    4)
    a broad dislike for LATAM generally and Argentina, specifically (due to ongoing economic and political discord).

    The majors are more risk averse than what many out there would have you believe. Hence, RIO's farmout to OXR, etc (again, for all of the reasons, above, and more).
