"In the unlikely event Telstra pulled the plug (IMO) other than sentiment which is not great atm to be fair, why would this be an issue for the sp?...... "

Because this was the touted, largest Australian reseller deal. Timing wise, it led right up to the prev 20c Cap Raise to investers. It was a part of the ballooning "growing narrative", (amongst other dist deals announced to SH) to bring home the over $21mill funds for the CR when it was initially promised that no CR was needed. Yes, the SP has collapsed since the 40c highs as SH have gradually, over 5 mths, been making up their minds on how much fluff to trim off the 40c balloon; but the Telstra deal is still unmistakably a very important SP confidence and earnings affecting event.

Secondly, the outcome will affect SH judgement of management bringing that particular deal home- in context of the entire narrative, from management in reports & media vs what has actually eventuated so far, of course.

Like it or not, its pretty obvious that if Telstra deal comes home, SP will rise. If it fails, IMO, it would be a disappointment to the market and SP will still fall.

I have no info on the nature of the halt, just responding to posts, that my opinion it would be ridiculous to disregard the effect of the Telstra deal on BUD, when the 'monster' deal was on every posters lips when it was ann. I myself, at a guess, suspect it may be Telstra related. Whether it is or not, rem that any abnormal SP trading movements prior to a market sensitive ann would be treated as suspicious by the ASX. With spotlight on BUD atm with 2 letters of request for confirmation of compliance, I'm sure BUD are doing yhe tight thing & dont want insider trading or leaks accusations as a result.
