Did we know when Ownership Matters did the underage alcohol stunt that when the champagne was delivered it was signed for by an adult?
That was not reported in the original AFR article but appeared in the article after the recent ACA segment:
"Those under 18 are not supposed to use Afterpay but Ownership Matters got a 16-year-old to set up an account and order alcohol, to be delivered to their office and it worked. Although in this case an adult signed for it."
It had puzzled me how that had happened: every time I've ordered alcohol delivery (through app services) they do an ID check at the door, ie nothing to do with the payment method.
It feels the original reporting of the Ownership Matters report, while it raised some governance issues for Afterpay to be mindful of, was misleading.
