I hope you paid more attention to my reservations about not believing the bottom until it's seen, than about my assertion that UXC would quickly rebound to $1.90.

On valuation, I declare myself to be a dunce. Intraday low under $1.40, finished on $1.46, nursed along the corridor in the casualty ward by a feel-good announcement in the A.S.X. by CEO Geoff Lord.

Yes, I think UXC is a sound company, and yes, current price is 'good' value, but as is now all too obvious, there's a lot of pessimism in the share-holder pool. It may well sink further, and I abandon any prediction as to where the bottom is. I suspect any recovery will be a jerky ride.

Interim results are due in Feb. I'll be glued to my seat til that happens.
