That's exactly the issue. If we knew we were in a bear market, we could all sell our holdings and go short. But you can listen to 3 different experts and they all will tell you very convincingly three different scenarios. Mark Faber (Perma Bear) stated last week the US will rally for the next 3 to 6 months. Bill McLaren (technical chartist) has been saying since December the US is in a bear market and will continue. Listen to any of the other experts and they will tell you we are in a consoliditing pattern and the direction is unclear. Basically nobody knows what is going on in the market.
