Look part of the due diligence was to assess if the company has the ability to pay. Sure it's startup, but involved are people that have had experience with money.
I'm also confident the government approval is a bit of a no-brainer. Someone on the forums commented about the way business is done in Turkey.
Worst case scenario is the company doesn't get any contracts, due to government approval not coming through or the sales team of 20 people being entirely useless.. Lips and co may walk away from the company and absolve any personal liability.
Not sure if they're willing to risk their professional reputations for that though. Something tells me they're not.
