Yep - but kind of liked the Fed better when Big Al was in charge - ruled with a kind of totalitarian attitude. Benny is too much of a democrat and seems to test polular opinion (at the cost of time) too much.
Rumors out there of an interim/emergency Fed meeting - reckon if we see on or two more shockers on the economic front they may push the panic button a tad quicker.
Also reckon the "foregone conclusion" (common consensus of opinion atm) about the RBA raising in Feb (following Q4 CPI stats) ain't so much of a done deal. Banks already hiked around 20bps, so the RBA's job may already be done for them. They may indeed wait and see what Q1 CPI brings and reassess in May (hedging this line of thought in my "real job" by buying into the recent WBC 01/11 bonds).
