Just doing some mining and beneficiation.  This thread got buried by bs:
When we were last discussing Molycorp, I attempted to get some discussion going on what's next after NEXT for Lynas?

What's the current thinking on Lynas's LOM?

What about acquiring similar mineral deposits?

There were others, iirc, who suggested toll processing.  Certainly Mt Pass concentrate bears a resemblance to Mt. Weld's, but that's now irrelevant if it's going to China.  I'm surprised if that's the case, however, and dismayed, as I said I would be.

Recently toly seemed to intimate that Lynas's LOM was 10 years.  I don't believe it's anything like that low.  As I've often said, I need at least 20 to be comfortable and I'm actually hoping the NEXT resource update will produce a number closer to, if not exceeding, 30 years.

A lot would seem to depend on Lynas's stance on AP ore beneficiation.  I think the drilling was intended, iirc, to understand the depth of the AP resource they have. (recently confirmed by another poster)  That suggested to me, admittedly an optimist, that they were preparing to go forward with AP ore processing in the short-term (next couple years).  The "stockpiling" comment might be another clue, or it might be a euphemism for getting it out of the way.

I really think the LOM is a bigger deal this year than ever before and could well provide a significant SP uplift.
