My stance is, it is hindsight bias kicking in with those claiming a position of "I always knew". The mind can play tricks to the point of believing that today's information was understood a long while ago. If there was such strong belief in the company's imminent collapse why wasn't there such an outcry from brokers and for that matter on HC? There wasn't, nothing zip. No wise owls on HC around March, April, 2015 shouting don't do it this is a c*ap stock.
I am fairly certain I could graph the number of "I knew it all along" posts on HC about SGH as a direct correlation with the SP. The more the SP dropped the more "I knew it all along" rear up their heads.
It was virtually all positive comments (perhaps exception of BOM) at PSD acquisition time.
The negativity started to creep in after the 2015 YE report- not when it was $6 in the months preceding. Twitching started slightly earlier in June after the VAT error came to light.
In answer to your question "why drag them up now" To shine a light on hindsight bias. There was certainly no widespread 'obvious' imminent collapse when it decided to purchase PSD despite those stating now it was obviously a poor company in crisis at that time.
And no, I don't invest on broker reports. I do take note of consensus from diverse sources to inform momentum.
