OK, I've calmed down and thought I'd check them out. (Knew there was a reason I bought them)
Part of this about has been quoted before, but out of interest, here it is again with a bit of extra detail. Issued 20 Dec 2007.
2007 Exploration Season Ends
Exploration activities at Wowo Gap have finished for 2007 with all exploration personnel being
transported to Port Moresby for the Christmas break. Drilling is planned to recommence mid
to late January 2008.
Despite a variety of difficulties faced by the PNG based exploration team, the program of
diamond core drilling, ground penetrating radar and associated surveying and line clearing
has yielded very encouraging results.
Exploration Highlights:
Laterite thickness in excess of expectation averaging +12 metres across the
drilled area
Significant laterite intersected by drilling outside the current resource
envelope
GPR has identified further laterite potential to the South of the current drilling
area
GPR has identified a laterite profile in excess of 9 km strike length remaining
open to the north and south, approx 7 km further strike potential
Over the next 6 to 8 weeks, the data generated from the exploration program will be analysed
and used for:
Resource estimation information for update of the JORC inferred resource
Metallurgical review/processing as part of the current Simulus Scoping Study to
identify development options
Formulation of the focus of the 2008 exploration season particularly to test the
significant southern extension of the laterite profile
Diamond Drilling
Holes drilled to date continue to intersect good and continual laterite thickness as outlined in
Figure 1.
A total of 46 holes have been completed with recent Nickel assays results included in the
following table.
