The news talks about people killed in car accidents yet this has a bigger impact on so many people.

Should people have access to brokerage accounts without a lot of training?

How can analysts be so blind as to encourage people into stocks like this?

The old law firms valued WIP at 0 until the cash came in the door - that was too conservative. Unfortunately the methods chosen left to door open to trickery.

This sort of nonsense is as old as financial markets.

In my view the main purpose of recommendation services should be to avoid situations like this. If all the professionals had a CFA qualification - doesn't that prove it's useless?

I think advisors should be reasonably paid but acting more like the statisticians of old - keeping people on the straight and narrow. I don't think others should try what I do as I see consequences like SGH so often.
