I recently had issues with an Etrade stuff up from their website. I challenged it in writing & they rejected it. I then took it to their compliance dept with the threat to take it to the ombudsman.
They relented & replaced the trade as it should have occurred had the system acted properly.
Etrade/Commsec's website must be fit for purpose & if it is not, they open themselves up for remedy action.
Challenge them. Good luck.
