5000 is too oversold. IMO it is oversold at 5500.
You are looking at PEs on blue-chips - which make up most of the ASX - of around 10 to get those levels. It would require a significant recession to cause that.
I see a slowing, possibly even a brief contraction, then a resumption of growth.
