Those other commodities will never be money whether I have space to accommodate them or not. I agree that the others may store wealth and that at times they may store wealth "better" than precious metals.

Your "people always need something to eat" argument is flawed if you look at it from a historical context. Millions of people starved to death while wheat was practically given away a few years ago. I know a little bit about farms as I spent summers on my grandfather's farm in Kansas when I was younger. He wasn't making much money at a time when "people always needed 3 square meals" the same then as now.

I'm just trying to clear up some of the nonsense people have been coming into the GOLD thread and posting.
